Goodhawk is a Native American artist that now calls New Zealand his home, he became a NZ Citizen in 2000.
Goodhawks' artwork has featured in museums, movies and a number
magazines ,both locally and internationally. He has also taken 1st place in a few of our New Zealand Art society competitions
in the textile and wearable arts sections.
The Cradleboard
This
piece is a fully beaded, fullsize traditional Native American Baby Cradleboard. Made from more than 7kgs of glass seed beads, the
cradleboard took approximately 9 months to complete and tells a story - 4 male buffalo, each in directional
colours, are set 2 at each side to protect the baby. The white female buffalo portrays the White Buffalo calf woman and is
set at the head of the cradleboard, over the baby's head, to nurture and watch over the baby. This is a fully functional
cradleboard. Total length of backboard 836mm, length of cradle 550mm.

carries Artists Mark and Tribal role number for authenticity. $6500 unique one off musuem quality piece.
